Equitak Excel is for the treatment and control of roundworms, tapeworms and bots in horses. It contains the unique 3-in-1 combination of active ingredients, Abamectin, Oxfendazole and Praziquantel. Abamectin, a member of the macrocyclic lactone chemical family and Oxfendazole, a member of the Benzimidazole family, are extremely effective broad spectrum wormers both acting in different ways to kill worms, where as Praziquantel specifically targets and kills tapeworms. By combining two totally different actives such as Abamectin and Oxfendazole, you lessen the chance of a resistant worm population developing.
This makes Equitak Excel an ideal rotation wormer and best used when seasonal conditions favour high worm pressure; typically during Autumn and Spring.
